SPECIALIST HELP & SUPPORT IN GLASGOW

Below we have listed details of agencies and organisations within Glasgow that offer specialist help and support for domestic abuse victims.  No Feart staff can also support you to get help from another organisation that will help in your situation and support you along to your first meeting if preferred, as we know it can sometimes feel daunting.

We do NOT recommend leaving the family home before speaking to a specialist organisation as this can sometimes place you at greater risk from your partner.  Specialist organisations can offer safety and planning to allow you to leave safely with a plan in place.

Wise Women: Glasgow East End

As well as this, we provide information and advice for women and staff on all aspects of violence against women.

WISE Women

AMINA: Muslim Women's Resource Centre

AMINA Muslim Women's Resource Centre

Amina’s ‘Ending Violence against Women and Girls’ (VAWG) programme is a prevention programme which aims to challenge sexist and misogynistic attitudes and behaviours amongst the Muslim and BME communities. In parallel to this, the project raises awareness of VAWG as well as organisations that support women who are experiencing VAWG. We work with Muslim and BME communities across Scotland, using our unique and tailored approach, so that information about VAWG is reaching our target groups in a form that they consider, process and accept. We have over 15 years experience of this work, and our VAWG programme grew organically from our helpline work; most of our calls to the helpline related to VAWG issues.

If you are an organisation supporting victims of domestic violence and wish to include details, please email us providing details of service offered to allow us to add your details.
