Children witnessing violence and murder

Updated: Jan 10, 2019

Happy New Year to all. For some the year has just began and Domestic Homicide and abuse is already a living nightmare and reality destroying hopes and dreams being made as the year turned over a new chapter.

The battle is on. As we plan and prepare for our new set of courses beginning in a couple of weeks we put on our armour, straighten our stature and welcome new referrals to educate and lead into transformation, empowerment and effective recovery.

It is an honour and a privilege to serve our community in this way. Lets keep sharing, caring, raising awareness and challenging mindsets as we go.

Today it was an honour to be asked to speak on behalf of a child who would be suffering so terribly as he witnessed his father murdered on a train in London last week. I so hope I could be a helpful 'voice' of experience for his suffering right now and I would challenge those around him, expert or not to support him effectively. The wrong voices and assumptions can cause so much damage to a child of such delicate age if not understood.

I am available to talk through those experiences and challenge wrong perceptions.

You can listen to my interviews on BBC radio 4 this morning on the links below. Pease feel free to email me with any comments or questions at

Warmest Wishes, Lynn
